In Church or in Christ – The difference

Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.
Colossians 3:2 TPT.

The above verse of the scripture is quite straight forward but there is a need for me to take time and break it down into simpler form for the purpose of absorption into your flesh, down into your soul that it may nourish and makes you mature into Godliness and perfection.

The one and only goal of this post is to remind you where your mind ought to be at every point in time as a Christian and the difference between the Christians for the sake of reigning with Christ in the last day and the Christians for the sake of instant miracle and not for the sake of the kingdom.

It’s of highly important you are aware of the end time prophecy which is being fulfills every day, at this point in time there is a need for every heavenly minded Christian to be on daily guard and watch day and night. Information is power. Information is one of the principal things that are essential to the growth of any human spirit.

In getting ourselves prepared for the second advent of our Lord Jesus, God knows there is going to be a lot of distractions and obstacles on our way and the only means of getting out of them all is the right knowledge concerning the end time events and the strategies of the enemy and all his delegates devices to get the elect out of the way into obscurity.

Jesus told us something in Luke.

Where you deposit your treasure, that is where your thoughts will turn to – and your heart will long to be there also. Luke 12:34 TPT.

The difference between a Christian and an infidel can be obviously notices in the fruit of their daily activities. There is nothing we do that’s behind our thoughts, before any one will do anything there would have been a kind of several thoughts in the mind before a final decision to carry it out into the real physical world. Your thoughts are the most definer of who you are. Whatever you thinks about will show who you are, anything does not exist in your thoughts can not manifest in your life.

I have a question here which you need to answer to yourself. It is – are you truly in Christ or in the Church? You see, like I have said earlier, this is the time that every heavenly minded Christian needs to be rededicating their lives to Our Lord Jesus Christ.

God has never leaved us in the dark concerning everything we need to know about both our walks with Him and our lives. In the letter of one of the renowned Apostle of our Lord Jesus which written to the people of Colossae, Apostle Paul, simplify the general life of a Christian, he makes clear what has to be the center of our daily living. This is the only means of knowing where you belong to. What we are bided to do as a Christian has lot to do with our choice to follow Jesus, from the verse one of the third chapter of the book of Colossian.

“Christ resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority”. Colossians 3:1 TPT.

But the exhortation purpose got clearer in verse two of the chapter.

Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.
Colossians 3:2 TPT.

If you have not got the right answer to my question, concerning where you belong to then this verse two should really help. But I will ask another question here, where are your thoughts feeding from? What are your own obsessions? What are things that excites you?. Differentiating those in the Church and those in Christ is not what anyone can judge with how you behave to everyone but the only determiner of your position is your thoughts and actions but an actions can only occurs from the abundance of the thoughts. Whatever you do is the reality of your thoughts.

Christians are expected to be heavenly conscious in their daily living, God expects us to fill our heart with what the thoughts of Him and His kingdom as He filled His own plan, thoughts, and kingdom with us.

As a matter of fact, there are more interesting stuff for our mind to explore when we decided to feast on heavenly treasure, this Bible version described things we should set our thoughts on in heaven as treasure that means our inability to feast on heavenly things is a great loss for us, and most of are missing many huge goodies every day without realizing it. The word of God cannot be broken, if we refuse to do some things as expected of us – there are many needs that will not be meet, not all of the stuffs we stuck into most times is principally championed by Devil, but our negligence most time is the cause of our misfortunes. We do comfort ourselves with “all things works together for good for those that loves the Lord’’ but there is more behind the scene most time because some things happens that is not the will of God for our life, mind you, am not saying God is absence but there is difference between allowing something to happens and being the orchestrator of a particular event.

Beloved, let us dust off every distraction that is denying us of feasting on heavenly treasure. There are many things the enemy has set up to distract us from our ultimate focus (Heaven), most of these things which are closer to us and we ignorantly feasts on them on daily basis; the excessive hours you spent on social media, fruitless hanging out with friends rather than spending time in God’s presence. What you do with your imaginations, thoughts and decisions are the definer of where you belong to – in Christ or in Church?.

You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Luke 12:40 ESV.
